If you're into music, you may know John Van Hamersveld for his numerous album designs, having worked with artists like Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, and The Grateful Dead. Surfers and movie enthusiasts honor JVH as the creator of the day-glo poster for Bruce Brown’s 1966 crossover hit movie Endless Summer. Whether you know his name or not, you've probably seen his artistic contributions to the worlds of music, art, pop culture and action sports.
Now, the renowned illustrator and graphic designer partners with Vault by Vans to create a robust collection of nostalgic, thought-provoking and culturally relevant designs. This assortment features three of his storied works, including his iconic Wave print, on Vans’ OG Classic footwear models and apparel silhouettes.
In this collection, Vans introduces new iterations of the OG Sk8-Hi LX and OG Classic Slip-On LX featuring Hamersveld’s eclectic designs in bold, retro colors and an apparel component that incorporates the iconic JVH designs on a classic black tee.
Select items from the exclusive collection will drop in-store on Saturday, June 23rd at 11am PST and online at bowsandarrowsberkeley.com at noon PST.
